Golden Souk

Golden Souk is a boutique business specializing in the import and sale of a variety of hand-made textiles and leather goods, our products include intricately embroidered bed throws, cushions, wall hangings, bags and leather books. Our products represent quality, beauty and each one is unique. We ensure this by extensive research into our suppliers, their products and by keeping strong working relationships and ensuring they are treated fairly. All of our products are first and foremost ethically sourced; we feel a strong social responsibility to ensure that our suppliers as well as our customers are happy and receiving a fair deal.

Golden Souk was founded after I spent the summer in India where I was touched by both the people and the beauty of their trade. Part of the trip was spent in India's ' Golden City', Jaisalmer. It is part of Rajasthan and is renowned for its embroidery and Rajasthani mirror work. Meeting these wonderful people seeing what they make inspired me to set up Golden Souk. Enabling Golden Souk to bring a piece of the Golden City to our customers in the UK.

Any business we can bring to this historic town will at least enhance the quality of life for the locals and ensure that the family run businesses will survive in this fast developing country.
