Alpaca Aca
The idea for Alpaca Acá (Acá means here in South American Spanish), came whilst Victoria Lunn was trekking in the Peruvian Andes in December of 2006. Wanting a change of scene from busy London life, Victoria had decided to go travelling for a year, both to improve her Spanish and experience a different culture.
Victoria was in South America for six months. It is here that she first discovered the luxurious qualities of baby alpaca wool when she visited the factory. The factory in Arequipa is committed to investing in the textile and farming industry of Peru. This is extremely important as the Alpaca industry is the lifeblood of the local rural economy.
Alpaca Acá has a range of ladies knitwear that appeal to a wide audience. With both contemporary and classic shapes in a beautiful palette of colours, as well as the timeless pieces; such as the V neck and cardigan added to this winter's collection, and some bespoke designs; a versatile wrap, a slouchy sleeveless cardigan and a cute beanie hat and scarf.
Baby Alpaca wool offers the discerning shopper something a little different that is not commonly found on the high street. It is wonderfully soft wool and the best of all the luxurious wools for keeping you warm. This is due to the fine hollow hairs of the alpaca that trap the air and insulate. Once you have been introduced to this wool you will become a fan for life!
