The Travelling Souk was originally set up (back in 2003) as a company that hosted gift fairs for charities. Since its inception The Travelling Souk has raised over £375,000 for more than 35 different charities.

In 2008 with the rise of Internet shopping the idea of the website launched and has gone from strength to strength. In essence the website followed the same genre as the gift fairs offering thousands of unique and exciting gifts from talented small marketers.

The Travelling Souk is a marketplace for independent retailers to sell their goods. When you are looking at all of our wonderful products they could be from a range of different sellers. At present we have over 180 sellers and are always looking for new and exciting independents to come and join The Travelling Souk family. 

Camilla Gray came on-board in March 2012 and has taken over running the website. With a sales and marketing background she is looking at increasing the amount of products and stallholders, increasing traffic via SEO and PR and looking at ways to increase the amount of customers.

Every small business who is part of The Travelling Souk is made to feel part of a big family. Camilla and the team are always accessible and they encourage their stallholders to sell through many channels and enjoy watching them flourish. Ultimately we work with our stallholders always putting the customers first and giving the customers an unrivalled choice of gifts with a professional service.
