There have already been six Travelling Souk events this year and throughout November there are nine more Christmas gift fairs to go. We’ll be in Hampshire, in Gloucestershire at Sudeley and Thyme at Southrop, Norfolk, Wiltshire, Ascot, Oxfordshire, Suffolk, Dorset and at the  Sandown Park Christmas Festival– all of them sure to be buzzing with people looking for unique Christmas presents.

Here at The Travelling Souk we love the festive period as it gives us a chance to share all of our unique Christmas gifts. The Travelling Souk gift fairs are starting to get into full swing. On October 31^st & November 1^st we’ll be at the beautiful Walcot Hall in Shropshire, before moving onto the Hartnoll Hotel in Devon for November 2^nd & 3^rd. Tickets are still available online or on 01865 821835, and you can even buy them on the day.

We love our gift fairs. They’re held at some of the most picturesque locations in England, and have such a wide selection of items. You can expect to see everything from Men and Ladies and Clothing, Dinnerware and Soft Furnishing, to Nightwear, Painting and Ribbon – and you’ll be shopping in some of the country’s most idyllic locations. If you haven’t been to one before then you really must come along.

With Christmas getting closer and closer The Travelling Souk will be up and down the country hosting Gift Fairs all throughout November, so take a look at our event calendar and see when we’ll be near you with our lovely bunch of stallholders and their gorgeous products.

Our first gift fair of 2011 was a great success at The Elms School in Malvern yesterday. We had a wide selection of gifts available at the event including women’s clothes and accessories, room fragrance gifts, luxury leather goods, stylish home accessories, books and much more. Our customers are obviously preparing for the colder climate as the most popular products at the event were the wonderful leather coats from Rawhide and luxury cashmere ponchos from Plum Trading.

Once you have touched the super soft cashmere that these stylish ponchos are made with, you really can’t resist buying one, and that is why we believe they sell so well at our events. It is heavenly against your skin and ponchos are so useful for throwing on over any kind of outfit. They can help you look stylish on a dog walk, school run, shopping trip or even over your best party dress!

The Travelling Souk has been running Christmas Markets for 9 years. That is how our name was derived; as ‘Souk’ translated in Arabic means ‘market’. Over the years we have exhibited our amazing selection of unique gifts all over Great Britain. We are the only fair organisers to hold several events in private manor houses not normally open to the public. That is what makes our markets so unique; the fabulous locations!

Of course our stallholders are the vital constituent. We are obsessive about selecting the best stallholders. Any stallholder who has joined The Travelling Souk is special in some way and offers unusual gifts for friends and family that you cannot buy elsewhere. Don’t think for a moment though that these are places for shopping alone. They are places for meeting and feasting with irresistible home cooked fare second to none.
