Kikapus are attractive, strong, reusable and biodegradable baskets - environmental alternative to bags. The raw materials are hand harvested in East Africa from naturally growing plants - completely sustainable. The baskets are hand made in rural Africa where we buy directly for a fair price - trade not aid. Kikapu baskets are a practical size for carrying your shopping and are so strong that they can be used again and again.  Alternatively you could use them as storage around the home,  they are perfect for storing childrens' toys, magazines or firewood. The baskets are light and easy to carry and also squashable and stackable if you decide to store them away.
