Tsarina – Hand Painted Porcelain Cow Butter Dish
Tsarina is from a small herd of royal extraction. Her rich colours and gold markings are reminiscent of a bygone era of opulence. As a result, she is very decorative, but her Russian roots mean that she can happily withstand the temperatures of the fridge when being used as a butter dish. She prefers to be on display.
This exuberant, hand painted, porcelain cow butter dish is one of six limited edition designs.
The underlying porcelain cow has been produced by traditional methods for CHH Design. Then each cow butter dish is entirely decorated by hand in glossy, vibrant on-glaze paints. In order to achieve the depth of colour and lustrous finish, layers of paint are applied at 24 hour intervals until the desired effect is obtained. Then any motifs are painted adding to the unique three dimensional quality.
Despite their beauty and frivolity, each cow butter dish has the practicality to withstand moderate domestic dishwasher cycles.
The cow butter dish can alternatively be used as individual cheese plates, each diner having their own painted cow, or just to adorn your kitchen table.
The cow butter dish is presented in a stunning black and pink gift box.
